This was seized as a part of Operation Milvus and was due to the partnership built up between the police and ourselves at Friends of Cannock Stadium.

CHASE UP: NEW PROJECT
We are delighted to inform that about 60% of the park can now be used after dark.
The areas that are still in darkness are the southern side of the park, which is from the Car Park past the allotments and princess street entrance and to the junction by the second football pitch.
We are working with Cannock Chase Council to fix this and will update you on any updates.

LIGHTING UPDATE
The official opening of our park was a success despite the weather.
As officials from Cannock Chase District Council and Staffordshire Council plus other partners and investors arrived in the park, the sight of the new adapted bicycles on their way round the site plus local schools all using the park was very welcoming and proves our park is heart of the community.
The weather held out for the ribbon cutting but then the rain set in but this didn't dampen the opening ceremony.

WE'RE OFFICIALLY OPEN!
A group of Volunteers from Friends of Hednesford Park, Womens Institute and our own volunteers joined together to complete our first litter pick around the whole site. A lost watch and broken scooter was some of the finds of the day and we collected a total of 6 bin bags of rubbish and took just over 2 hours to complete. The site looked amazing for the opening day all down to the fantastic volunteers today.
We also had a team of gardening enthusiasts from Friends of Hednesford Park tidying the borders round the allotment building which looked brilliant.
